About Tim & His ApproachAbout Tim & His Approach
Tim Kelly is a Registered Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience in counselling, consultation, training, program leadership, project development, organizational management, and family violence work. His practice is grounded in the belief that people can take responsibility for harm, understand the patterns they are caught in, and build safer, more respectful relationships.
His approach combines compassion with directness. The work is informed by Motivational Interviewing, ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, the Duluth Model, and behavioural safety frameworks, with attention to safety, responsibility, repair, and meaningful change.
For clients, this means therapy that is respectful, honest, and focused on what can be different. For professionals, it means supervision and consultation that supports thoughtful case formulation, safety planning, ethical decision-making, and grounded practice in complex situations.
Work one-on-one to understand your behaviour, take responsibility, and build a different future.

Learn More →For individuals
Individual therapy can help when you are concerned about anger, defensiveness, conflict, control, shame, anxiety, trauma, or patterns that keep showing up in relationships.
The work focuses on understanding what happens before, during, and after difficult moments. We slow the pattern down, look at impact, and build practical ways to respond with more responsibility and choice.
This is not about reducing a person to the worst thing they have done. It is about taking behaviour seriously enough to change it.
Book OnlineFor couples
Couples therapy can support partners who are trying to understand conflict, rebuild trust, communicate more clearly, or decide what a safer relationship would require.
The work pays attention to both the emotional pattern and the impact of behaviour. When harm has occurred, repair cannot be rushed; it needs responsibility, consistency, and room for both people to speak honestly.
Sessions focus on slowing escalation, naming the cycle, strengthening boundaries, and helping partners move from reaction toward clearer choices.
Book OnlineSupervision
Supervision offers a reflective space for therapists working with trauma, intimate partner violence, men’s behaviour change, coercive control, accountability, separation, parenting, and repair.
The focus is on slowing the work down enough to clarify what is happening clinically, ethically, and relationally. We consider safety, risk, responsibility, power, client readiness, and the therapist’s own positioning in the work.
Supervision can support stronger case formulation, practical next steps, documentation thinking, and confidence in complex or stuck clinical situations.
Book OnlineConsultation
Consultation is available for practitioners, teams, and organizations working in trauma, gender-based violence, men’s accountability, family systems, and high-conflict relationship dynamics.
The work can include case consultation, program development, training design, facilitation, and support for teams trying to strengthen shared language and practice.
The aim is to make complex work more coherent: clearer formulation, safer decision-making, more useful language, and stronger alignment between values and practice.
Book OnlineFor professionals
I support practitioners, teams, and organizations working with trauma, family violence, men's behaviour change, accountability, separation, parenting, repair, and complex clinical systems.
The work is reflective and practical. We slow the situation down, clarify what is happening clinically and relationally, and think through safety, responsibility, ethics, power, documentation, and next steps.
One-to-one supervision for therapists carrying complex, high-stakes, or stuck cases. Sessions can focus on formulation, pacing, risk, accountability, therapist positioning, and practical next steps.
Reflective group supervision for practitioners who want shared learning, careful case discussion, and theory-informed practice. Groups can be structured as a short series with time protected for participant presentation and discussion.
Consultation for teams and organizations developing practice in family violence, trauma, accountability, and complex relationship work. This can include case consultation, program development, training design, facilitation, and implementation support.
